Location The Festival Grill, FO Aarhus’ courtyard. Vester Allé 8, 8000 Aarhus C.0 In 2015 more than 700 people joined and enjoyed some tasty food in a social setting in the centre of Aarhus.
Aarhus Festival, International Community and partners invited again in 2016 expats and their families to a special reception in the pop-up Festival restaurant, The Festival Grill, on Saturday 27 August from 15.00 to 17.00. At the reception, you could relax with your family and make friends with other expats. Over the years, the reception for expats has become a much looked forward to tradition. People were welcomed by the Mayor of Aarhus, Jacob Bundsgaard. Afterwards they were treated with some light refreshments prepared by chef Lars Kyllesbech, the founder of restaurant Mefisto in the old Latin Quarters, and freshly made Italian ice cream by the popular Paradis. Taking place in the heart of Aarhus, the reception was just a stone’s throw from a number of other entertaining and engaging festival activities for the whole family, making the reception the perfect excuse for a day of family fun. Værestedsbandet på Stiften Scenen
27. aug. kl. 12.00. Værestedsbandet er et musikprojekt mellem FO-Aarhus og Kultur- og kontaktstedet Kragelund, Center for Dagområdet i Aarhus Kommune. Det består af voksne med psykisk sårbarhed under socialpsykiatrien, der spiller god kopi af rock- og popmusik.
